Volunteer With Public Health

Wright County Public Health is in need of volunteers to respond to potential Public Health emergencies. Depending on the emergency, volunteers will be needed to perform a variety of jobs both medical and non-medical. 
Some job duties require little training, and others require a professional license, such as:
  • EMT
  • Medical doctor
  • Nurse practitioner
  • Paramedic
  • Pharmacist
  • Physician's assistant
  • Registered nurse
Examples of some health care jobs include: 

  • First aid workers
  • Medical evaluators
  • Mental health workers
  • Screeners
  • Triage workers
  • Vaccinators / med dispensing workers
Examples of non-medical jobs include:
  • Aides
  • Computer specialists
  • Data entry operators
  • Drivers
  • Educators
  • Greeters
  • Interpreters
  • Supply managers
  • Traffic controllers
