Nurse Family Partnership (NFP) is a free program for women who are having their first baby. It allows nurses to deliver the support first-time moms need in order to have a healthy pregnancy, become knowledgeable and responsible parents, and provide their babies with the best possible start in life. The relationship between mother and nurse provides the foundation for strong families, and lives are forever changed – for the better.
A trained Public Health nurse visits with you at home or another location throughout your pregnancy and baby’s early years. During these visits, we answer your questions and discuss information that is relevant to you & your child: topics may include having a healthy pregnancy, labor and delivery, children’s growth and development, safety information, and positive parenting information. We are able to connect you to local community resources to meet your family’s individual needs as well.
To be eligible for the program, you must be pregnant with your first child and live in Wright County. If you are interested in learning more about the program;
