  1. C.A.R.S. (Children and Restraint Systems) CLASS IS FULL

    September 20, 2017, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Human Services Center

    To make sure there is available space in each class, you must pre-register by calling Terri Burkhart or emailing. Class fees are non-refundable unless you reschedule. A minimum of ten participants need to be registered in order to hold class. Class will be canceled one week prior to class if the minimum is not met. No admittance after class has started. Develop Class ID# 227953 Note: These trainings are approved on the MNCPD Registry.

Child Care Provider Training

  1. I am Moving, I am Learning (IMIL)

    September 30, 2017, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Howard Lake Community Room

    Participants receive: -- A light breakfast -- A Choosey CD -- Training credit for 4 hours Pre-registration is required in order to make sure that enough materials and space are available. Registration deadline: September 22nd, 2017. (We reserve the right to cancel the training is there are fewer than 10 registered participants.

Child Foster Care Training & Support

  1. Child Foster Care Family Training - Supporting Children Exposed to Domestic Violence

    September 21, 2017, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Jail & Law Enforcement Center

    A basic 3 hour training session for Resource Family providers on the dynamics of domestic violence, the impact of exposure to domestic violence (DV) on children, and strategies for supporting children who have been exposed to DV. The training describes some of the specific needs of children exposed to domestic violence and how to respond effectively. It also promotes resiliency in children who have been exposed to domestic violence and supports the development of their positive coping strategies

  2. Child Foster Care Family Support Group

    Support groups are offered for Wright County Child Foster Care providers along with their own children and/or foster children from ages 0-18. There will be an adult support group along with two skills groups for children ages 6-12 and 13-18. Please note: child care will be provided for children 0-5 years old.
