Parks & Rec Hosting Sweetheart Snowshoe/Boot Hike Saturday Night at Ney Park

Looking to surprise that special someone in your life with a belated Valentine’s Day present? The Wright County Parks & Recreation Department can help.

From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15, Parks & Rec will be hosting its annual Sweetheart Snowshoe/Boot Hike at Robert Ney Memorial Park Reserve in Maple Lake Township.

Lanterns will be lit to illuminate the trail, creating a romantic glow along the banks of Ney Pond. Sweet treats, hot beverages and a campfire will await participants’ return from the trails.

There is no cost to take part in the program, but if you need to rent snowshoes, they are available for a $5 fee. For more information on this and other Parks & Recreation Department seasonal offerings and programs, call (763) 682-7894.
