Parks & Recreation Department Using Facebook to Take Our Minds Off COVID-19 With Daily Posts

For those looking to get a break from the inundation of COVID-19 pandemic, the Wright County Parks & Recreation Department has been updating its Facebook page daily with information and tips for Wright County residents.

Among the topics that have been discussed over the last couple of weeks have included the fish species found in Minnesota, pollinator insects, spring wildflowers, how to use a compass, the Department of Natural Resources Project Learning Tree webpage, how to build a rain gauge, learning about the cyclical nature of water from rain to evaporation, the science involved with a campfire, buckthorn infestations, links to print off a bird coloring book for children, the Wildlife Explorer program and proper social distancing in parks.
