Today (June 30) is the final day for individuals to sign up for the Minnesota Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) program – a partnership between the Minnesota Department of Human Services and the Minnesota Department of Education.
P-EBT offers temporary food assistance to families receiving Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) benefits. Families with school-aged children that receive free or reduced-price school lunches are eligible for this program.
Families can apply online at https://mn.p-ebt.org/en/. A hotline has been set up to answer questions about the P-EBT program by calling (651) 431-4050 or (800) 657-3698.
If you are eligible for P-EBT benefits or know a family that is struggling, you are encouraged to let them know that today is the deadline to sign up and help feed children that are suffering during the COVID-19 pandemic.
