Parks & Rec Provides Update for Those Who Will Be Using the Parks Over Holiday Weekend

The Wright County Parks & Recreation Department has released a statement wishing parkgoers a safe and happy 4th of July weekend, along with several links dealing with safety guidance at campgrounds, protocol for safety at crowded beaches, the “Leave No Trace Principles” for cleaning up after picnics or family gatherings. The statement notes that bathrooms in the parks will be open. Outdoor showers have been turned at Bertram, Beebe Lake, Clearwater/Pleasant and Collinwood Parks to rinse off. However, drinking fountains will not be turned on, so people are advised to bring enough water to last during their stay in one of the parks. For the full statement, click here:
