Wright County Sheriff Sean Deringer recently presented Deputy Austin Henre his certificate for completing the Institute for Credible Leadership Development (ICLD) course. Those who choose to take this course do so with development of their leadership skills in mind. They do so on their own time with self-improvement and growth in leadership as their motivation. All members of the Sheriff’s Office are eligible to take part in this program. So far, Deputy Henre is the second Sheriff’s Office employee to complete this course. However, there are several others who have started the lengthy process.
The ICLD system is an on-line, leadership learning system sponsored by the Minnesota Sheriff’s Association. The program consists of four phases that are divided into several modules. Phases I - III take approximately 40 hours each to complete with Phase IV taking 75 hours.
