Wright County Public Health has released its weekly COVID-19 dashboard. For the second straight week, the county experienced an increase in the number of new confirmed cases with 274. Following eight straight weeks with less than 200 new confirmed cases, the past week marked the second straight week with more than 200 new cases. Seven cases required hospitalization, one required a stay in an Intensive Care Unit and no new deaths were reported – just the second time since the end of October that there were no deaths in the weekly reporting period.
Since the pandemic began a year ago, Wright County has had 13,221 cases with 514 that required hospitalization, 91 that required ICU stays and 120 deaths.
