Wright County Public Health has released its weekly COVID-19 dashboard and, much like the rest of the country, Wright County has experienced the largest surge in new cases in three months in terms of cases, hospitalizations, ICU stays and deaths. There were 417 new confirmed cases reported, along with 16 hospitalizations, four that required an ICU stay and three deaths. The weekly case total was the highest since the first week of January, the number of hospitalizations was the highest since the Jan. 14 dashboard, the number of ICU patients tied for the most since the first week of December and deaths were the highest since the Jan. 21 dashboard.
Since the pandemic began last March, there have been 13,638 confirmed cases in Wright County, 530 cases that required hospitalization, 95 that required ICU care and 123 deaths.
