The Wright County Jail is taking all recommended precautions from MN Dept. of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to protect those individuals incarcerated in our Jail from the COVID19 virus.
We have begun to implement certain emergency protocols. To include:
- Screening of all new arrests and incoming inmates as per CDC recommendations.
- Monitoring all our current inmate population for symptoms.
- Limiting inmate programs and those entering the facility to provide programing.
- Released and re-scheduled offenders on our work release program.
- Re-scheduled offenders serving weekend sentences
- Began ITV court appearances from the Jail.
Our Jail was designed with the ability to quarantine individuals and entire housing units if necessary. We clean all areas and surfaces regularly throughout the day. Inmate cleaners have been instructed on the proper use of disinfectants and cleaning.
We have not currently changed our visiting hours as we only do video visiting, shortly we will be implementing off-site video visiting through our canteen vendor.
We are currently not in lock down but are limiting inmate movement and activity.
