County Agricultural Inspector

As per the requirements of Minnesota Statutes, Section 18.80, the Wright County Board of Commissioners is seeking to appoint an individual as Wright County Agricultural Inspector. The position is responsible for enforcement of the provisions of the state's noxious weed laws, as well as rules promulgated by the Department of Agriculture regarding agricultural inspectors. The inspector will have contact with landowners regarding noxious weed issues. All functions of this position will be performed on an as needed basis, with hours varying seasonally.
This position will be filled and supervised by the Wright County Board of Commissioners, with compensation based on experience and qualifications. The agricultural inspector will be an independent contractor, responsible for providing his/her own vehicle, equipment and liability coverage. Wright County is seeking to enter into an annual contract, with compensation to be paid monthly.
