Meet Commissioner Holland

Commissioner Jeanne Holland is a lifelong Wright County resident, who was born in St. Michael and graduated from St. Michael-Albertville High School. She married her high school sweetheart Wes – who served the last 29 years as a deputy with the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.

Holland has been primarily a self-employed home care nurse for the last 33 years, but also worked five years at Buffalo Hospital and three years at an assisted living facility in Hopkins. She has been very active in her church her entire life and spent 15 years in the Boy Scouts of America as a Cub Scout pack committee chair and advance to serving as a unit district commissioner and then a district commissioner.

She has spent two decades in public service, having served 14 years on the St. Michael-Albertville School Board as well as serving 12 years as a representative to the Wright Technical Center – including four years as the board chair.

Among Holland’s goals as a commissioner are striving to keep the small town feel to Wright County, keeping taxes down for residents as well as supporting and monitoring the growth in her District but keeping in mind the whole county needs to support/retain a strong Sheriff’s Office.

Jeanne and Wes have been married 40 years and raised five children. They are the proud grandparents of 16 children with three more on the way.

Holland was sworn into office Jan. 3, 2023 and her term will run through Dec. 31, 2026.
