Patrol

The Patrol Division is the largest division within the Sheriff’s Office.  Staffing includes a Captain, 2 Lieutenants, 12 Sergeants and 87 Deputies. The Patrol Division is the most visible division within the Sheriff’s Office. Operating 24 hours a day 7 days a week in marked squad cars throughout the county.  The men and women of the patrol division respond to calls for service from the public ranging from all types of crimes, motor vehicle crashes, medicals and citizen aids.  33 of these Deputies provide patrol services to the rural unincorporated portions of the county.  The rest of the Patrol deputies are assigned to one of our 13 contract cities.  We provide Law Enforcement services to 13 of our 16 cities. These contracts vary from 1460 hours a year to 18,980 hours per year.
