Camping in Wright County Parks

Modern (Electric Service)

There are three campgrounds in the Wright County Park System. Collinwood Regional Park, located near the city of Cokato on Collinwood Lake, Schroeder Park and Campground, located on Cedar lake near the City of Annandale, and Bertram Chain of Lakes Regional Park near Monticello. These campgrounds offer modern camping experiences, including electric hookups, and select sites with water and sewer connections. Both campgrounds have restroom/shower buildings and a sanitation station for RV's. Campsites are available from May through September.

Non-Electric Sites

Collinwood Regional Park, located near the city of Cokato on Collinwood Lake offers non-electric, carry in tent campsites. The park has two restroom/shower buildings, swimming beaches, and a playground. Campsites are available from May through September.

Canoe (North Fork Crow & Mississippi)

Canoe camping is offered within Wright County Park System. Canoe camping locations are offered at a variety of parks along the entire North Fork of The Crow River in Wright County. There is no charge for using the canoe campsites, and they are available on a first-come, first-served basis.  A use permit is required. Please contact the Park Department office at 763-682-7693 / 7894 a few days before your trip to obtain a permit.

We do not have canoes available for rental.

Carry In/Backpack

Looking for a remote area to hike and camp? Carry In/Backpack camping is offered at Stanley Eddy Regional Park, located on the western edge of Wright County. There is no charge for using these campsites and they are available on a first-come, first-served basis. A use permit is required. Please contact the Park Department office at 763-682-7693 / 7894 a few days before your trip to obtain a permit.

Group Camping

There are two group camp areas available in the Wright County Park system, Collinwood Regional Park and Beebe Lake Regional Park. 

Collinwood Regional Park is located near the City of Cokato in southwest Wright County. This park offers two group camp areas that are available for any type of large group, such as family events, scout camps, or non profit groups. The group camps have primitive facilities that include a fire ring, picnic tables, and a pit tiolet. From the group sites it is a short walk to other facilities in the park, such as the main picnic area, trails, playground, open play area, and swimming beach.

Beebe Lake Regional Park is located between the Cities of Hanover and Buffalo. This park offers a single group camp area that is reservable only by non-profit organizations. The group camp has primitive facilities that include a fire ring, picnic tables, picnic shelter, sand volleyball court, hand well, and a pit tiolet. From the group sites it is a short walk to other facilities in the park, such as the main picnic area, trails, playground, open play area, and swimming beach.
