Truth in Taxation Hearing Tonight to Be Live-Streamed on YouTube

At 6 p.m. tonight, the Wright County Board of Commissioners will conduct its annual budget/levy public meeting (often referred to as Truth in Taxation) in the Wright County Board Room. Due to COVID restrictions, seating will be limited, but the meeting will be live-streamed on YouTube for those interested in the presentation that will be made and the discussion that will follow.

The county board will hold the meeting in person due to the logistical issues of attempting to conduct the meeting via Zoom or Microsoft Teams. Limited seating will be in available for those who wish to attend in person. In the event more residents arrive than there is available seating capacity, a process will be in place to have a second room available in the event of overflow seating. If needed, those wishing to speak can ask their questions, get answers and then proceed to overflow area where the live stream of the meeting will be available to allow anyone else who wishes to speak to have the opportunity.

To access the live stream, go the main page of the county website and scroll down the left side of the screen to the link “County Board Video.” You can also go to YouTube and type in “Wright County Live” to access the live stream. The link will go live at 6 p.m.
