License Bureau Has Message for Residents About December 24 Schedule

A Message from the Wright County License Bureau

On Thursday, December 24, the License Bureau will be open from 8 a.m. to noon. Currently, the appointments are full for that day, however, limited walk-ins indoors for all types of transactions will be accepted. The outdoor walk-up window will be open, but with the cold weather that is projected, we are encouraging residents to utilize this for quick transactions such as tab renewals and DNR renewals. Please have your insurance filled in and your form of payment ready for staff to serve you as quickly as possible. As always, you can use our various drop boxes and skip the line completely. The drop boxes are checked numerous times during the day and the tabs are typically mailed out on the next business day. The drive-up drop box is located on the east side of the Wright County Government Center and can be used at any time of the day or night. There is also a drop box located in the lobby of the Government Center available during business hours.  Exact Cash or check payments only please.

The License Bureau will be releasing appointments at 8 a.m. Thursday, December 24.  Those appointments will cover the period of January 4-15.  Currently, the Governor has extended the Peacetime Emergency.  Individuals whose licenses would have expired between March 13, 2020 and Jan. 31, 2021, will have their expirations extended to Feb. 28, 2021.
