Wright County Public Health has released its weekly COVID-19 dashboard and, despite increased vaccination rates, the April surge of cases continues.
The past week saw 502 new confirmed cases – the highest one-week total since December 2020. More troubling is that there were 11 cases that required patients to be taken to an Intensive Care Unit – the highest single-week total in Wright County since the pandemic began. There were 27 cases that required hospitalization and one additional death. The county’s COVID-19 totals are 14,640 cases, 580 cases requiring hospitalization, 109 cases that required ICU stays and 125 deaths.
