The Wright County Board of Commissioners will be conducting its annual Truth in Taxation hearing at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 9 in the Wright County Government Center in downtown Buffalo. At that time, County Administrator Lee Kelly will make a presentation regarding the 2022 budget and levy. Residents are invited to ask questions about the process that goes into arriving at the numbers for both the budget and levy. However, the Truth in Taxation meeting is not about individual or business property taxes. Those discussions are held in the spring at city and township meetings through the Wright County Assessor’s Office.
For those interested in seeing the meeting but can’t attend, the meeting will be livestreamed on the county’s YouTube channel and can be accessed by going to the homepage of the county website (www.co.wright.mn.us) and clicking on the “County Board video” tab on the left side of the screen. The stream of the meeting will go live approximately five minutes before it begins. For those unable to attend or watch live, the meeting will be posted on the county website on Friday, Dec. 10 and can be accessed any time by clicking on “Agendas and Minutes” for the Dec. 9 meeting and clicking on the TV icon at the right of the screen.
