Wright County Public Health has released its weekly COVID-19 dashboard for the period of Jan. 21-27 and the omicron variant continues to produce extremely high infection numbers in Wright County.
There were 1,503 new confirmed cases over the last seven days – the most in a one-week period since the Dec. 17, 2020 dashboard and the third week in a row with the highest weekly number of cases since 2020. In the last three weeks of reporting, there have been 4,246 new confirmed cases reported. In addition, there were 33 cases that required hospitalization, four cases that required treatment in an Intensive Care Unit and seven deaths. Since the pandemic began, there have been 33,533 confirmed cases, 1,355 cases that required hospitalization, 241 the required a stay in an ICU and 285 deaths.
