Wright County has allocated a portion of American Rescue Plan (ARP) State and Local Fiscal Recovery funds to a matching grant program for broadband projects. The purpose of the grant program is to support broadband projects that provide high-speed, reliable and affordable service to unserved and underserved households and businesses in Wright County.
The county is prioritizing projects that can be completed in 2022 or 2023 and intends to fund projects that have significant financial support from cities, townships or Internet Service Providers (ISPs). The county will also prioritize projects that are best suited for funding through ARP. Awarded grants will be reimbursement grants. The application deadline is 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 20.
