The Wright County Highway Department is likely going to be out on the roads tomorrow afternoon if conditions warrant for what is shaping up to be a messy evening commute.
Wright County is currently expected to get an inch or two of snow from the storm Thursday afternoon into early evening. With rising temperatures expected overnight into Friday morning, there may be some accumulating slush. On Friday, strong winds are expected that will likely freeze whatever accumulation there is.
In an unrelated matter, plow drivers are asking residents to be mindful of where they place their garbage cans for pickup. They’re supposed to be a foot or two off the edge of a roadway in a driveway along county roads and highways and many of them are too close to the roadway and some end up getting clipped by plow blades or the plow is forced to go around them.
