Wright County Public Health has released its weekly COVID-19 dashboard for the period of Feb. 4-10 and, similar to the rest of the country, it appears as though the omicron variant has reached its peak and is receding.
There were 628 new confirmed cases over the last seven days – less than half the new cases from the previous week and the first time in five weeks there were less than 1,000 new cases. In addition, there were 23 cases that required hospitalization, one case that required treatment in an Intensive Care Unit and three deaths. Since the pandemic began, there have been 35,441 confirmed cases, 1,406 cases that required hospitalization, 242 the required a stay in an ICU and 294 deaths.
