Tomorrow (Tuesday, March 8) will be Township Day in Minnesota for all of the 1,780 townships in the state.
March 8 is Township Election Day, which coincides with township annual meetings where residents gather to express their concerns/opinions about local issues and provide input on matters like tax levies and local elections. The polls statewide close at 8 p.m. and the township meetings begin immediately thereafter.
Fifteen of Wright County’s 18 townships will be holding elections Tuesday – the exceptions being Clearwater, Silver Creek and Southside Townships, which conduct their elections in November. However, all 18 townships in the county will have the annual township meetings at 8 p.m.
