License Center Offers Tips on Getting Boat Registrations

A Message from the Wright County License Center

Memorial Day Weekend is a month away which means boating season is right around the corner (hopefully). Here are a few quick ways to renew your boat registration/tabs at the Wright County License Center.

You can skip the line completely and drop your renewal card and exact cash or check made payable to Wright County License Center in the 24-hour drop box located near the Northwest corner of the building. Just drive up, put your items in the box and we will process your renewal within one business day. You can also mail your renewal card and a check made payable to Wright County License Center directly to our location. Our new address is 3650 Braddock Ave NE Ste 1800, Buffalo MN 55313. Once your item is received by our office, we will process and mail back to you within one business day. Reminder, if you mail your items back to the DNR, expect a two-to-four week delay in processing.

If you want to visit us in person, you can use our Drive Thru or come inside to our new location.  Our hours are  8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Cash, check and credit card (2.49 percent service fee) are all acceptable forms of payment when processing in person or using the Drive Thru. Additionally, fishing licenses are also available for purchase in-person and we have Fishing and Boating regulation booklets available as well.
