A Message from the Wright County Highway Department:
The Wright County Highway Department has provided an update on the 2022 Pavement Preservation Schedule. The 2022 Pavement Preservation Contract involves the following routes in Wright County:
- County Highway 5 from the south county line to County Highway 35
- County Highway 7 from Imhoff Avenue SW in Howard Lake to the south limits of Maple Lake
- County Road 100 from US Highway 12 to County Highway 3 north of Cokato
- County Road 141 & 142 west of Cokato
- County Road 124 from County Highway 8 to County Road 109 west of Buffalo
The type of work on this contract includes milling, reclaiming the existing bituminous surface & aggregate base; paving new layers of bituminous mixture; placement of shouldering material along the edges of the roadway; and painting new pavement markings on the highways.
The prime contractor for this contract is Knife River Corp. of Sauk Rapids. Work is scheduled to begin week of June 20. All work on this contract is anticipated to be completed by mid-August, weather permitting.
Traffic will be directed by flag people near and through the work zone. Please be prepared to expect minor delays during construction activity. A detour of traffic will not be necessary.
