A Message from Wright County Elections
Absentee voting for the Tuesday, Aug. 9 primary election is open and can be done two ways – requesting an absentee ballot online (Voter Information Portal (state.mn.us)) or downloading a paper copy and emailing to elections@co.wright.mn.us or mailing a paper application to: Finance and Taxpayer Services – Elections, 3650 Braddock Ave. NE, Suite 1400, Buffalo, MN 55313. Voters can check the status of their ballots at Voter Information Portal (state.mn.us).
Wright County Elections is advising absentee voters how to avoid the common mistakes made when voting absentee. They include not leaving the witness section blank or incomplete, fully reading the instructions, using a blue or black ink pen to mark your ballot, using the same identification number (a driver’s license/state ID or the last four digits of your Social Security number) on the signature envelope as was used on the application and signing the white signature envelope.
