The Minnesota Department of Transportation has announced that there will be a short-term full closure of eastbound I-94 at CSAH 19 in Albertville. The closure will begin at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5 and continue through 3 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 6. The closure times are approximations and dependent on the weather.
Eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane prior to arriving at CSAH 19 and will be routed off the interstate at the CSAH 19 exit (Exit 201) onto the local access road that runs parallel to the interstate. This closure is necessary so crews can pour the deck seal on the I-94 bridge over CSAH 19.
Since so many Wright County residents commute to and from work on I-94, please share this information with those you know who will be traveling eastbound I-94 through Wright County after 7 p.m. of this closure because there are expected to be significant backups, especially early when the closure begins and there is significantly more traffic on I-94.
