Those who will be outdoors this weekend are being cautioned to take additional care if they’re going to have bonfires. All of Wright County remains in significant drought conditions due to the driest September on record.
All of Wright County remains in drought conditions. The southeast corner of the county is in Extreme Drought conditions, the southern third of the county is in Extreme Drought and the northern two-thirds of the county is in Moderate Drought.
With dry leaves that have fallen being a catalyst to start fires that could spread quickly, people are being asked to pay close attention to their bonfires and make sure they’re out before they are left alone.
