Wright County would like to thank County Commissioners Christine Husom, Mark Daleiden and Mary Wetter for their service to the residents of Wright County.
Husom, Daleiden and Wetter had their last meeting of their terms Tuesday (Dec. 27). Husom and Daleiden both served 10 years in office, while Wetter served a two-year term.
Husom and Daleiden both joined the board in 2013 at a time when redistricting resulted in four new commissioners joining the board simultaneously. As part of the redistricting plan to stagger terms, both initially were elected to two-year terms and served two four-year terms after that. Both announced earlier this year that they would not be seeking re-election.
Wetter was elected to a four-year term in 2020, but when redistricting was approved by the board last spring, Wetter was required to run again. She lost her re-election bid to Commissioner-Elect Nadine Schoen.
Wright County staff send their best wishes to Husom, Daleiden and Wetter in the next chapter of their lives and sincerely thank them for their public service.
