A Message from the Wright County License Center:
Fishing opener is right around the corner – Saturday, May 13. You can transfer, renew or register your watercraft for the first time at our indoor service counter. Transferring a watercraft requires the current title for titled watercrafts or a bill of sale for non-titled watercrafts. First time registration does require a sales receipt from the store/business you purchased it from. For those simply renewing their watercraft license, you can also use our drive-thru located on the northwest corner of the building (3650 Braddock Ave. NE, Buffalo). For anyone needing replacement registration decals, they can be purchased at our office, but they will be mailed out by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR), usually within seven days. The License Center can issue fishing licenses (if purchasing a combination license with a spouse not present, a voucher will be issued to be redeemed at a later time by the spouse). Fishing licenses can be purchases at the indoor service counter or drive-thru. Current regulation booklets are available on site. The License Center accepts all forms of payment (cash, check or credit card with an additional service fee). Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
