Wright County will be hosting a campuswide open house from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, June 9 and will include activities for all ages and guided tours of the different county facilities on Braddock Avenue NE, Buffalo.
The Sheriff’s Office will be grilling hot dogs and providing refreshments at this free event and the open house will include a helicopter on site, equipment displays from county departments (Sheriff, Highway, Parks & Recreation), K-9 demonstrations, bouncy houses, UAV (drone) demonstrations, fire trucks and displays from county departments and community partners.
Approximately every half hour during the event, there will be guided tours of four county facilities – Government Center, Justice Center, Highway Department and Public Works (Parks & Recreation, Surveyor and University of Minnesota Extension) – as well as tours of the Wright County Jail.
At each building there will be punch cards available for a contest. Get three stamps punched from any of the five county buildings (the four listed above and the Law Enforcement Center) and you will be entered into a contest to win a $135 gift card from Wright County Parks & Recreation that can be used on events, programs, campsite reservations, camper cabins, etc.
Wright County looks forward to seeing you June 9 to give you an up close look at what we do at the different county facilities.
