A Message from the Wright County Highway Department:
Two intersections in Wright County will have turn lane improvements completed over the next couple of weeks. The intersections of County Highway 75 at County Highway 8 In Hasty and intersection of County Highway 37 at County Road 117 In Monticello Township will be widened slightly to allow for dedicated right and left turn lanes. Work is being completed with Federal Safety funds.
The type of work on this contract includes milling, reclaiming the existing bituminous surface and aggregate base; widening for turn lanes, paving new layers of bituminous mixture; placement of shouldering material along the edges of the roadway; and painting new pavement markings on the highways.
The prime contractor for this contract is Knife River Corp. – North Central, of Sauk Rapids. Work is scheduled to be completed by the end of June, weather permitting.
This work will be completed under traffic with no detour. Please be prepared to expect minor delays during construction activity. A detour of traffic will not be necessary.
