A Message from University of Minnesota Extension:
University of Minnesota Extension is offering a Minnesota Beginning Farmer Institute for young farmers who are taking over an existing operation or are planning to start their own farm. The Institute is a four-part course that uses an interactive and fun approach to teaching participants farm management topics. The Institute to is free and one will be conducted in Wright County early in 2024 – January 9, 16, 23 and 30.
The learning objectives include how to use a business plan, the use of taxes (expenses and deductions), creating financial statements and record keeping and the use of grain marketing and land rent.
