A message from the Wright County Government Center:
Fall clean up time is here and I’m sure we all have hope that snow stays away as we try to get the grass mowed one more time and leaves cleaned up. The Compost & Recycling Center is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from for fall leaves, grass and branches for your fall clean up needs. The facility will maintain those hours until Friday, Nov. 17.
If you’re putting up Christmas lights this month and the realization that the strands do not work – a Clark Griswold moment – broken, unused and non-working Christmas lights can be brought into the Compost/Recycling facility for free disposal. If that is too far of a drive and out of the way, there will be a disposal box at the Planning & Zoning Department at the Wright County Government Center (3650 Braddock Ave. NE) again this year during the month of December to dispose of those non-working Christmas lights.
