The Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted School District has announced on its website that its referendum ballot question has passed.
The ballot question in front of voters in the district was asking for approval of an operating levy of $600 per pupil tied to the rate of inflation for the next 10 years. There were 1,226 yes votes (58 percent) and 897 no votes (42 percent).
Election results don’t become official until they are canvassed by the district school board.
