A message from the Wright County License Center:
A reminder for students looking to take the Class D written knowledge exam, the License Center offers this service by appointment and walk-in on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Due to the shortened work week for the Thanksgiving holiday, we are preparing for additional walk-in testers this week. Currently all exam appointments are full for Tuesday (Nov. 21) and Wednesday (Nov. 22), however we accept walk-ins from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. As always, appointments continue to be available up to 30 days in advance on our website: https://www.co.wright.mn.us/1148/Class-D-Written-Test. Testers under age 18 must provide their “blue card” along with a primary and secondary document to take the test. Most commonly we see the student’s certified birth certificate and unlaminated social security card as proof documents. There is a $10 fee to take the exam at our location and we offer the test online in eight languages, including audio versions. The License Center is an approved third party proctor, but per state statute, we are only allowed to offer the Class D written exam. All road tests and other written exams are administered by state exam offices only. The License Center accepts all forms of payment (cash, check or credit card with an additional service fee).
