A Message from University of Minnesota Extension:
In response to emerald ash borer concerns and questions about replacement trees from the community, the University of Minnesota Extension is hosting a free, in-person workshop on from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 30 in Conference Room 1103 on the first floor of the Wright County Government Center (3650 Braddock Ave. NE, Buffalo).
In the face of the emerald ash borer threat, controlling its impact is not just a task but a collective responsibility. By cultivating knowledge about tree species resilient to pests and diseases, we not only protect our urban landscapes but also sow the seeds for a flourishing, resilient future. The workshop will cover an overview of EAB and control options and underutilized trees on the landscape.
Pre-registration is required by January 26 for accurate meal counts. Register by visiting z.umn.edu/EABworkshop, calling the Wright County Extension office at 763-682-7394 or emailing Emily Hansen at email@example.com
