Is the problem of illegal drugs in Wright County better or worse than other places?
Wright County experiences many of the same problems as occur in other counties of the state. The continued growth of the county has also brought with it an increased number of drug-related crimes. While the percentage of persons involved with illegal drugs has not changed dramatically, the numbers have risen in step with our increasing population.

Is the problem of illegal drugs in Wright County better or worse than other places?
Wright County experiences many of the same problems as occur in other counties of the state. The continued growth of the county has also brought with it an increased number of drug-related crimes. While the percentage of persons involved with illegal drugs has not changed dramatically, the numbers have risen in step with our increasing population.

What is the most common illegal drug found in Wright County?
Marijuana is the most common illegal drug in the county with methamphetamine (street names are "speed" or "crank") a close second. Marijuana has shown a dramatic increase in use during the last two to three years with juvenile users being the most affected group.

You can contact the Special Investigations Unit during normal business hours at telephone number 763-684-2368. After normal business hours you can call the Wright County Sheriff's Office at 763-682-1162 and ask for the SIU.
