Why are weight restrictions put on County Highways & how is it determined when they come off?: Weight restrictions are placed on county highways to protect the investment in the county's largest asset - it's county highway system. During the springtime, when frost comes out of the ground, the highways are at their most vunerable to heavy loads that can cause significant damage during this time. 1. What should I do if I see a road sign down?: Call the County Highway Department at 763-682-7383 and report the details about the downed sign (what County Highway, location, etc.). If it is after regular business hours, please call the County Sheriff's Office at 763-682-7622.

2. There is a pothole in the road, how do I report it?: Please call the County Highway Department at 763-682-7383 to report a pothole on a Wright County Highway. You can also report it online, by going to http://www.co.wright.mn.us/189/Highway & click on "Report a Concern".

3. Who should I call to report traffic driving over the speed limit?: Please call the Sheriff's Office at 763-682-7622 to report the road and location of the speeding so they can deploy enforcement resources.

4. Who should I call to report a dead animal in the roadway?: Please call the Wright County Highway Department at 763-682-7383 to report a dead animal on Wright County Highways. If it is after hours, you can leave a message or call the County Sheriff's Office at 763-682-7622.

6. I want to do some work in a county highway ditch, how do I get permission?: A Right-of-Way permit is required to to any work within a County Highway Right of Way.
